The heat exchanger is a single copper coil (Ø14mm×1mm), normally between 22 and 60 metres (the length can be modified base on the requirements of our client). It is fixed by a stainless steel frame soldered in the tank and can resist a maximum pressure of 6 bars. Copper conduction efficiently heats the water in the tank. The water in the tank and tubes is independent from the network.

Solar tubes absorb the radiation from the sun and
convert it into heat for use in water heating. They are made of a selective coating maintained under vacuum between two tubes of borosilicate glass. Vacuum is widely recognized as the best insulating method.
This technology is perfect for all weather conditions. On cloudy days, the efficiency of Solar Design solar water-heaters is higher efficiency than with a flat plate collector due to the minimal heat loss from the vacuum tube technology.
Evacuated solar tubes have the same output all day long from sunrise to sunset. The circular design ensures, solar radiation will always hit the tubes perpendicularly. Also, and in case of strong winds, the solar water heater won’t lift up thanks to air circulation between the tubes.
Universal Energy manufactures 3 types of solar hot water heater.
Universal Energy will be exhibiting at the SNEC 4th (2010)...
